Replacing a lead water main at the Stubbins Estate

NW Groundwork were commissioned to replace a lead water main at a building on the Stubbins Estate owned by the National Trust. Care had to be taken working so close to the listed building, which is set on the edge of Holcombe Moor, a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

In remote locations like the Stubbins Estate and Holcombe Moor, the NW Groundwork team rely on the NW Groundwork welfare unit to look after their needs and minimise their impact on the environment. The unit is fully equipped with a kitchen, a toilet and washing facilities, and also has a fully stocked first aid kit including a defibrillator, just in case.
